Position Summary: The Director of Field Services is responsible for overseeing all Field Service activities throughout a multistate organization. The role will manage team training, equipment maintenance policies, compensation management, work order management, and ensuring customers’ needs are met in the field. The position will work both independently and with teams across the organization to meet installation goals, help locate potential expansion sites, and ensure safety requirements are met for the entire team. The position will also conduct interviews for hiring across all positions in Field Service. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, capable of managing multiple teams and providing high-quality support across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) associated with department performance
  • Coordinate with Human Resources to hire, on-board, develop, and retain Field Service Technicians
  • Provide effective work order scheduling and management to meet the needs of our customers
  • Collaborate with the Wireless Operations team to ensure all equipment is functioning to its highest capacity
  • Develop planning for performance drive testing newly constructed networks prior to release for Sales
  • Review technician performance to provide coaching, assistance, and training to technicians on an on-going basis
  • Plan and develop procedures for on-site installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with Sales to create effective strategies for meeting competitive monthly sales and installation goals
  • Develop and maintain safety policies and procedures, ensuring all technicians follow best practices
  • Review and investigate future safety equipment needs to ensure all Field teams are working safely.
  • Work with Fleet Manager on vehicle purchasing, fleet management, and future vehicle planning needs
  • Review fuel card spending to identify any inconsistencies or fraudulent transactions
  • Oversee equipment inventory ensuring materials are procured in a timely manner
  • Ensure all Field Service projects are completed within budget/deadline to meet customers’ needs
  • Work in tandem with the COO and other members of management on successfully growing, building, and owning a revolutionary customer-focused Field Technician team
  • Analyze data form multiple systems and prepare reports for executive management team


Skills & Requirements:

  • Proven ability to manage teams across different office locations and markets
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Strong organizational and proven leadership skills
  • Ability to travel to other markets, estimated 25% travel required


Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent


Preferred Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or equivalent experience (7+ years) in telecommunications management
