Riverside Industries, Inc., a 50+ year old, well respected and established Human Service Agency in the heart of downtown Easthampton, MA. is seeking to hire a talented and driven Director of Finance to manage its finance and accounting functions.

As Director of Finance, you will oversee all company financial activities to ensure it stays in strong financial standing. You will beresponsible for accounting systems, procedures, and policies; preparation of external and internal detailed financial reports and statements; generation of data and reports for the development and tracking of operating budgets; data analysis and forecasting.
The responsibilities of the Director of Finance include but are not limited to:
· Managing day to day financial and accounting functions of the office staff responsible for GL, AP, AR, and Payroll
· Timely preparation of monthly close process, including management use financial statements, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis
· Financial planning and analysis; cash management, budgeting, and forecasting
· Assisting departments with estimating and project management with RFP preparation process
· Setting up and overseeing organization’s finance IT system
· Developing budgets that meet the requirements of Riverside’s departments
· Recognizing patterns in spending, revenue, and recommend solutions to any problem areas
· Coordinating with external financial entities on behalf of the organization
· Overseeing all audit and internal control operations
· Preparing timely and detailed reports on financial performance on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
· Conducting analysis to make forecasts and reporting to the President and Board of Directors
· Ensuring adherence to all financial laws and guidelines
The requirements of the Director of Finance include but are not limited to:
· 5 – 10 years’ accounting experience, preferably within non-profit industry, with 2-5 years working in a management capacity
· Experience managing a staff cross trained in various accounting functions
· Proficient in monthly close, account reconciliation, census filing, cash management, budgeting, forecasting, GL, AP, AR, and Payroll
· Skilled in MS Office and fiscal management software
· Musthave an analytical mind, with strategic ability
· BS in Accounting, or a related field preferred
· 5 to 10 years’Finance and Accounting experience
· 2 to 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role
This is a full time, exempt position located in Easthampton, MA. and could be a hybrid position for the right candidate
