Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for leading the organizations forecasting and budgeting processes across all business verticals, managing the cross-functional team of analysts for the property, as well as identifying and analyzing areas of opportunity within the current operation and new business ventures as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Partner with VP, FP&A and other Directors within the FP&A team to drive execution of all budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analyzing efforts for the organization
- Responsible for leading analysts, operators, and other stakeholders through the annual budget and monthly forecast processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of outputs
- Serve as operational leader for the implementation, education, and ongoing maintenance and improvements of propertys to-be-selected FP&A system
- Collaborate with operators, analysts, leadership, and ownership to understand and create solutions for key business and analytical needs
- Create and sustain a thoughtful and collaborative strategic and analytical culture for the property and a positive working relationship between FP&A and the Operations team
- Identify areas of opportunity within the enterprise to ensure efficiency and optimization within all aspects of the organization, ensuring continued Revenue and EBITDA growth
- Maintain a robust enterprise-wide reporting package which tracks forecast accuracy, analyzes business trends, and evaluates departmental performance
- Serve as liaison to Executive Team by providing regular updates on asset performance and providing ad hoc analysis and presentations to the team as requested
- Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum six (6) years of FP&A, Strategic Planning, or similar experience, preferably within the hospitality industry
- Advanced understanding of best practices, industry trends, gaming terminology, and emerging technologies in the FP&A space
- Strong operational knowledge within the Hospitality and/or Gaming industry
- Strong project management experience and process improvement
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Ability to gather, synthesize and analyze data and draw logical conclusions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to organize effectively, delegate responsibility, solve problems quickly and communicate clearly
- Ability to provide leadership and direction contributing to the success of the organization through engaging, developing, and mentoring individuals and teams
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job directly supervises the divisional analysts but also leads operators through all forecasting/budgeting exercises and strategic initiatives for the organization.

Team Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
