Current licensure: MT, ASCP, HEW, NCA

Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association

3 5 years of experience in a hospital setting

1-2 years of Supervisory experience preferred

Job Description:

The System Director of Laboratory manages the departmental operations and personnel management.

The director must be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and accreditation standards and maintain the departmental policies and procedures in support of these standards and other organizational initiatives. Coordinates the laboratory Quality Control, Proficiency Testing and inventory programs. 

Qualifications for Director of Laboratory- External

Minimum Work Experience 5 years of experience in a hospital setting

1-2 years of supervisory experience is preferred

Required Skills for Director of Laboratory

Current Licensure: MT, ASCP, HEW, NCA Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association

Ability to organize and integrate program components related to Laboratory Services Strong skills in the area of Laboratory Services.

Also, the ability to competently perform procedures as necessary Strong interpersonal and team facilitating skills Solid verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to work effectively with administration, physicians, nursing staff, and all other customers of the hospital system Must be knowledgeable regarding laws, certifications, and regulations related to Laboratory Services

Pay: $93,496.00 - $119,786.00 per year
