The Director of Retail Excellence is responsible for leading FLIK Independent Schools Retail Reimagined initiative and positioning the Division for strategic sales growth.

In this role they will design, develop, and deploy a reimagined retail strategy in partnership with Flik Hospitality Group Marketing Team and Compass Digital Labs. The Director will work closely with our FISD Executive Sponsor, Operational Services and Finance teams to ensure alignment and leverage respective areas of expertise. They are responsible for assuring the FISD Retail strategy addresses the evolving needs of our school communities, enhances the experience for all community stakeholders and delivers innovative digital solution(s) that delight all users (internally and externally). They are accountable for Division retail quality assurance results, achieving client/customer satisfaction goals, revenue growth targets and new business development goals.

Responsible for:

  • Managing the retail reimagined strategy, project plan, supporting division implementation and Retail QA.
  • Division Retail Training including the development of written training manuals and the completion rate for computer-based training certification
  • Retail Brand Standards including product mix, merchandising, signage, digital solutions.
  • Monthly Retail Promotions, support resources and materials.
  • Establishing turnkey opening toolkit for Retail
  • Partners with field and corporate staff to create consistency in the retail brand and enhance the school community experience
  • Establishes and maintains innovation roadmap informed by community feedback loops and market research. Ensures FISD is ahead of industry trends and the leader in our market.
  • Contributes to Division marketing and communication plans.
  • Report monthly on retail store metrics and revenue driving developments to reach YOY goals and KPI’s
  • Ensure Retail Marketing materials, assets and reporting effectively support unit Business Reviews.
  • Support business development and client refreshes as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks related to business development, account openings and day-to-day support as needed.

Requirements:

  • BA or BS degree with a minimum 3 years of experience in retail, foodservice management a plus with a proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Retail technology and product management experience including Point of Sale. Experience with Student Meal Plan applications a plus.
  • Experience with the creation of brand materials and voice.
  • Keen sense of merchandising and station presentation.
  • Must be proficient in Excel and Power Point
  • Exceptional oral, written communication and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms
  • Position requires an average of 50% travel within the United States

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
