Highland Homes is currently accepting resumes for a Director of Technology Delivery position. The Director of Technology Delivery is responsible for defining and executing the Information Technology department's overall project management strategy and the timely and successful delivery of its project portfolio.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define the Technology Delivery’s organizational structure and vision.
  • Hire, retain, and cultivate best-in-class employee-owners. Guide, mentor, and coach the Technology Delivery team by exercising industry best practices with effective leadership.
  • Develop, lead, and motivate the Technology Delivery team members; sets training, development, and performance goals.
  • Develop and implement consistent project management standards, practices, governance, and methodologies.
  • Oversee the entire portfolio of technology projects and initiatives to ensure successful completion and delivery.
  • Manage vendor relationships and performance.
  • Communicate project updates such as progress, risks, timelines, resources, scope, budget changes, and overall project health to the department and/or business using reports, dashboards, KPIs, and/or other reporting tools and metrics.
  • Collaborate on the development and implementation of standard project and program management methodologies and tools to improve the probability of successful project delivery.
  • Monitor program status across the portfolio and effectively communicate status to all stakeholders via project data repositories, status reports, project planning tools, presentations, etc.
  • Define and implement governance processes/structures following our agile development and phase-gate processes that enable appropriate planning, scheduling, executing, monitoring, and controlling across the program.
  • Design and implement improvements in the toolset used to facilitate our core Technology Delivery operational processes, including project scheduling, resource management, financial management, status reporting, project lifecycle workflow, time tracking, and document management.
  • Provide leadership to the IT training and IT organizational change management functions.
  • Partner with department leaders to identify short- and long-term project plans; develop and maintain strong relationships across the organization.
  • Ensure that project timeline and resource needs are determined, documented, and communicated.
  • Keep executive and department leadership apprised of project statuses and developments; monitor project success measures and understand the status of specific projects and assignments.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field preferred, or 10+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional), SCRUM, or similar certification required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in a directly related area, during which both professional and management capabilities have been demonstrated.
  • Prior experience managing a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of standard business processes related to ERP. Accounting/Finance experience preferred.
  • Experience in RFI/RFP process, contract review, and contract negotiation.
  • Solid background in supporting existing applications and implementing new applications and systems across the enterprise.
  • Experience using project management and SDLC methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently, establishing strategic objectives, project plans, and milestone goals.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and visual presentation skills.
  • Proven strong negotiating and consensus building abilities.
  • Proven skills to work effectively across internal functional areas in ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to focus on short-term and long-term goals simultaneously.
  • Structured thinker and effective communicator, comfortable with interacting with constituents.
  • Widespread experience training team members throughout the enterprise on new and existing technologies.
