Job description

Christ Community Church, a Christian Reformed Church, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, seeks a Director of Youth and Family to develop ministry programs for the youth and families of the church and in the community. We desire a candidate who is in love with the Lord, humble, Spirit-led, relates well to all generations, has a heart for prayer, and is eager to build relationships. The Director of Youth and Family will have the freedom to develop their vision for an enriching Youth and Family Ministry at Christ Community Church. Christ Community Church is a body of believers in Christ whose all-encompassing task is to bring the good news of Christ’s salvation so that people will serve and glorify God in every aspect of life.

Expectations

• Strong follower & relationship with Christ Jesus
• Organize & oversee all youth & family activities
• Teach and develop relationships with middle/high school youth group
• Develop a cohesive ministry plan that connects all generations in their faith journey
• Collaborate with relevant ministry teams, work well with the church staff
• Under the supervision of the council
• Commit to ongoing professional development
• Sign the Covenant for Office-bearers in the Christian Reformed Church
• Pass a background check
• Perform other duties that support the church’s missional vision as required.

Qualifications

• Strong & mature student of the Word of God
• Effectively teach a Christian Reformed perspective
• Has strong administration, organizational, and communication skills
• A college degree in a related field or prior experience working with youth preferred
