Description:
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage Clinical Physician and APP Schedule:
  • Review schedules with medical directors
  • Post-publication schedule updates
  • Work with Project Manager to send revised schedule templates
  • Answer Physician Schedule Questions
  • Quarterly Extra duty submitted by deadline
  • Enter Monthly Surge payment for MDs & APPs
  • Enter Monthly Premium payment for MDs
  • Activate call as needed
  • Advertise open shifts as needed
  • Data / Reporting:
  • Review CPR Quarterly/Annually as needed in conjunction with Chief of Service
  • Monthly MD Productivity
  • Review monthly productivity metrics with Chief of Service
  • Send out MD Productivity Scorecards / Answer any related questions (once developed)
  • Clinical Operations Management including routine review of service with Chief of Service
  • Responsible for the management and review of Grady position control (in partnership with Finance)
  • Faculty Time Record Submission – management of FTR processing
  • Partner with finance team to develop/monitor Annual operating budget
  • Review and approve all Expense Reports and financial activity on Grady SpeedTypes including CME
  • Partner with Chief APP to support the APP practice needs at Grady
  • Partner with Chief of Service and Department Leadership to develop the annual Scope of Service document
  • Coordinate the onboarding of new Grady faculty and staff with the service chief and physician services team. Work with credentialing and enrollment staff to ensure providers are enrolled and credentialed appropriately for their scheduled start
  • Serve as the department liaison to Grady based faculty, staff and Service Chiefs, Grady Administration, and the Emory Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs and their staff
  • Interface with professional fee billing (EMCF/One Grady) management and staff as needed
  • Attend required Meetings/Committees including, but not limited to:
  • Monthly Faculty Meetings
  • Department Faculty Meetings
  • Emory at Grady Faculty Meeting
  • Emory at Grady Business Manager Meetings
  • Department & Medical Director Meetings w/ Hospital Leadership
  • FTE Meeting
  • Tuesday/Thursday Team Huddle
  • Bi-weekly site leadership meeting
  • Other special projects and duties as assigned

JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Plans, coordinates, and is responsible for major administrative and clinical activities including grants and contracts, budget planning, financial analysis, data processing operations, and human resources management for at least one division within a department.
  • Serves as an autonomous leader with divisional-level decision-making authority.
  • Collaborates with departmental leadership on budget development without overall budget responsibility.
  • Develops plans to ensure that generated clinical revenues increase each year while limiting expenses.
  • Works with Department Chair to establish goals and objectives for the department(s); monitors progress towards their achievement.
  • Develops and implements various clinical and administrative programs to enhance employees' skills and to improve the effectiveness of existing clinical services.
  • Develops new programs to ensure the growth of the department and to meet the changing demands for new services.
  • Acts as a liaison between management and other schools/departments concerning clinical activities and issues.
  • Ensures required record-keeping is maintained.
  • Develops and implements formal training and development programs for staff.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's degree, preferably in business, finance, or related science field, and five years of professional business or management experience which includes experience in a clinical or healthcare environment, OR an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department of work. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
