QUALIFICATIONS

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License and safe driving record
• Obey all State of Ohio driving laws
• Ability to assist with evacuation of residents from the facility as appropriate.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for providing timely and courteous transportation for the residents to and from various activities while providing quality service.
• Assists disabled passengers in and out of vehicle.
• Secures passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.
• Arrive at destinations on schedule
• Research and plan for traffic, construction and weather delays
• Use navigation applications to determine the best route
• Interact with clients professionally at all times
• Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use
• Responsible for daily safety checks of vehicles used for transportation
• Assist with vehicle inspections and routine maintenance of vehicles
• Communicates any needs for vehicle repairs to Executive Director.
• When there are times that no appointments are scheduled, the driver will assist with interdepartmental needs as directed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
