Orthodontic Assistant
Qualifications we are looking for:
We are looking for somebody who is compassionate about helping others. Excellent people skills and enthusiasm are a must. No dental experience necessary, we offer extensive training for this position. Candidate must be a LDA or RDH with licensure in MN. Will provide training for new graduates and/or candidates moving from another dental office setting with limited orthodontic experience.

Job Descriptions and Duties Include (but not limited to):
- Establish a trusting rapport with patients, ensuring the highest level of patient customer service is given to all patients
- Educate the patients on orthodontic care and treatment practices
- Work chairside with patient care including assisting in placing and removing orthodontic appliances
- Maintain patients' charts and transcribe the doctor notes accurately
- Keep units stocked and organized as well as clean and sterilized
- Greet and seat patients
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments, supplies and equipment
- Take digital photos and x-rays
- Take impressions for retainers, study models and appliances
- Take intraoral scans for Invisalign, retainers and appliances
- Prepare teeth for bonding and assist Doctor
- Communicate instructions to patients and parents
- Encourage, educate, and motivate patients to follow doctor's recommendations
- Be receptive to coaching and training from doctors and lead to better develop skillset
- Maintenance of sterilization area, solutions, and equipment
- OSHA management
- Follow the dental office infection control plan to meet OSHA, CDC, and local standards
- Other duties as required
