POSITION TITLE: E-Commerce Merchandiser
POSITION PURPOSE:
Under supervision of the Divisional Merchandise Manager, the E-Commerce Merchandiser is responsible for developing the merchandising, marketing, and promotional strategy for their respective brand. Responsible for maximizing business performance and improving customer experience by identifying opportunities through analyzing website Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reporting. Responsible for maintaining a strong brand identity and for creating an omni-channel experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Develop promotional and merchandising strategies considering business needs specific to E-Commerce and effectively communicate differences to cross-functional teams. Monitor website performance and develop actionable steps to improve profitability and conversion as it relates to the promotional strategy, merchandising strategy and customer experience. Review weekly style selling reports and business recaps with team to develop actionable merchandising initiatives to improve performance. Increase conversion and average order size through online merchandise management of best sellers, product promotions, up-sell and cross-sell opportunities. Lead weekly business review meetings and communicate any changes in direction to brand team to ensure updates are executed in a timely manner based on business needs.
Oversee communication with cross-functional teams to schedule big ideas meetings to understand key product and trend investments with goal of creating an omni-channel experience. Develop merchandising strategy for email marketing calendar and site content to align with key product investments, trend focuses and promotions. Leads monthly brainstorm meeting with brand team to develop elevated content. Collaborate with photo studio team and stylist to communicate merchandising initiatives. Communicate merchandising initiatives to cross-functional teams for app, social media, search and digital advertising alignment. Under guidance of Divisional MErchandise Manager (DMM), approve email and site content ensuring it is brand appropriate and aligns with merchandising strategy. Manage team to execute merchandising strategy with a sense of urgency and keen attention to detail to create engaging and profitable content.
Work closely with Web Analyst, Email Analyst and User Experience team with the goal of improving sales, conversion and customer experience as it relates to site content, taxonomy, on-site search, recommendation. Develop A/B testing strategies by analyzing reports and website performance while monitoring process and deadlines. Communicate and monitor process for improvements to website and merchandising strategy. Communicate to appropriate cross-functional teams for app, social media, search and digital advertising alignment.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree
