Our Audience Strategy team within Agency Communications is relied upon to help drive and support strategic business initiatives, goals, and objectives for New York Life's field force. The PF-2 digital writer/editor will report to the CVP, executing tactical communications in support of our field audiences. This is an opportunity to communicate with impact while innovating with new and old media and a variety of New York Life communication channels (i.e., Agency Portal, field newsletters, Council meetings). This role will work independently on projects that support and promote New York Life's Foundational Business strategy from a communications perspective. The primary audience for this position is New York Life's 12,000 agents and its 800+ field managers.
Responsibilities
- Writing and editing digital copy (i.e., newsfeed articles, feature stories) for Agency Portal
- Write/edit other field communication channels such as email newsletters, weekly PowerPoint slide presentations for field audiences, and NYLIC Review magazine articles whenever appropriate
- Scheduling newsfeed articles based on message timing requirements for the field
- Working collaboratively with other members of the Audience Strategy and the Communications Cross-functional teams to prioritize key messages for each field audience
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, or related field preferred
- Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience
- Digital writing/editing experience for online media
- Microsoft Office proficiency (PPT, Word, Excel) to support field presentation decks, tactical publishing, etc.
- Salesforce experience a plus, but not required
Salary range: $58,500-$85,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
