JOB TITLE :: ELECTROMECHANICAL : TECHNICIAN :

General Description :: The Electromechanical Technician (ET) will support the design engineering team in all phases of product design. The ET is responsible for the implementation and testing of mechanical controls for new designs used in down hole tool development. The ET is expected to have a deep understanding of Tensor based MWD tool functionality and assembly. Position will also be responsible for standalone troubleshooting problems and multi-tasking various projects simultaneously. Position will work within a small engineering team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    • Must be able to independently utilize their strong knowledge of mechanical pulser design utilizing past experience and adapting to new designs.
    • Propose, develop, and/or implement modifications to existing equipment to improve/enhance its manufacturability, cost, performance, functionality, and/or reliability.
    • Perform troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis as required.
    • May need to assist with vendors throughout all phases of product development from concept to obsolescence.
    • Perform sustaining, verification, and qualification tests at all levels from component to assembly to system level

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
    • Strong mechanical foundation
    • Experience with Tensor based MWD tools modules.
    • Experience with field support equipment
    • Must have working knowledge of material/part/equipment handling, HTHP tools, and electronics ESD awareness.
    • Able to troubleshoot problems independently and identify root cause failure analysis.
    • Good communication and team work skills.
    • Should be detail oriented and highly organized.
    • Must have a safety conscious attitude and practice safety always.
    • Must be able to write status reports.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, LICENSES and EXPERIENCE: :
    • 5+ years’ working as an Electromechanical Technician is required.
    • 5+ years’ working with Tensor style MWD tools
    • 5+ years’ experience in oil field industry is required.
    • Recent certifications are preferred.
    • Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
    • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
    • No relocation extended.
    • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
