EM PA Postgraduate - Physician Assistant - Saint Vincent
Job description
The USACS/Allegheny Health Network Saint Vincent Physician Assistant Post-graduate Fellowship in Emergency Medicine (EM) will provide an intense, well-rounded 12 months of clinical and didactic training to facilitate a successful career as an emergency medicine Physician Assistant. This program is appropriate for both new graduates and seasoned Physician Assistants who are looking to further their education, fine tune their diagnostic skills, and become proficient in procedures that will make them competent, confident, and well sought after practitioners of emergency medicine. Fellows will not only have their core training in EM, but will also have the opportunity to rotate through select subspecialties including critical care.

This provides the PA fellow with the opportunity to have a complete, well rounded and flexible training experience. Upon completion of this program, the EM PA Fellow will have the knowledge and skills necessary to make them a successful practitioner of EM in any clinical setting.
Details:
You will receive both clinical and didactic training in collaboration with the medical emergency medicine residency. The training program will include offsite training opportunities in Rural Medicine, Trauma, patient satisfaction, efficiency, and simulation lab skill training. The program will start in March 2023. There is a 3 year work commitment post training.
Requirements:
- Graduation from a PA Program approved by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or Master's degree from an accredited NP education program. Graduates must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- National Certification by the NCCPA. New graduates may receive acceptance into the program, pending successful completion of the PANCE. NPs must have national board certification. Licensed to treat both pediatric and adult patients (FNP at a minimum +/- ACNP +/- ENP)

Applications are accepted from May 1– August 1. Applications are due in their entirety for consideration by the Admissions Committee by August 1 for subsequent March start date. Select candidates are invited for an interview. Applicants are selected based on academic achievement, interpersonal skills, and interest in emergency medicine.
