Zap EMS is accepting applications for Paramedics and Emergency Transport Technicians (EMT) at all levels, offering full and part-time opportunities.

• At this time only 12 Hr shifts during the weekday are available.

You must be a Texas Dept. of State Health Services CERTIFIED Paramedic EMT P , LP , or EMT B, EMT A, EMT I.

Please do not apply if you are not a certified paramedic candidate or emt. Previous experience on an ambulance is preferred.

Should have ACLS , PALS , CPR or their equivalent.

This job is outdoors and requires lifting patient. Some of the duties include:

• Conducting daily vehicle inspections, checking and replacing inventory. Cleaning stations and ambulances.
• Listening skills to understand the patient’s extent of illness or injury
• Since Paramedics lift, kneel and bend throughout their job, they need to be physically fit.
• Communication skills to speak clearly about the situation and procedures to patients and healthcare staff.
• Problem solving skills for quickly understanding the patient status and symptoms and for administering required treatment.
• Since Paramedics need to provide support to patients in life-threatening situations and under great stress, they should be compassionate.
• Interpersonal skills to work in teams and coordinate with others to handle stressful situations.

MUST have a positive work attitude, excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

You must be able to document your patient encounters timely and in detail. The job could entail some light marketing from time to time as well.

We expect our Paramedics to be familiar with IV Pumps , CPAP, Bi-Pap and ventilators.

We prefer you have 2 years of experience as a Paramedic and a clean driving record.

This position entails an automatic background check and drug screen .
