Role and Responsibilities
Data analyst to support e-Commerce growing need of business intelligence, insights/dashboard management, strategic development, data management, customer experience, and related best practices. Contribute to the strategic business decision making by deriving insight from the market and consumer data on the main issues of the brand, product and channel. Contribute to mid-term and long-term business opportunity identification by understanding the consumer needs and trends from internal and external data. Provide data analyst support to our stakeholders to maximize mutual trust and strategic execution by enabling business and market insights
Responsibilities and Duties:
Key role in managing Ecommerce dashboards and reporting including design, data modeling, capabilities, automation, and templates. Key role in the team’s efforts to support the foundational projects connecting to our insights platform, especially around data management/design, data warehousing, optimizations, and best practices to enable insights and actions from stakeholders. Business continuity through platform/data availability is critical – this team member will understand when and how to raise issues to senior leadership for further guidance. Will work with issues owners to track high-level progress, driving accountability, and resolve issues across ecommerce Understand S.com journeys – ensure data and systems are developed with the relevant functions that generate win-win that will allow s.com to connect the dots and identify and prioritize opportunities to improve and/or create processes. Learn S.com operations across different lines of business and leverage those understandings to ensure the direction of projects and activities support stakeholder needs
Perform ad hoc analyses to identify opportunities and develop actionable recommendations through a rigorous, data-driven process; work proactively to uncover areas within the business to drive performance improvements to unlock productivity and accelerate execution.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Knowledge/expertise/experience
  • Experience in data analytics, process improvement, customer feedback management, or similar data driven improvement experience
  • High competence/comfort with generating and evaluating queries
  • Advanced skills with MS Excel
  • Experience with Python, R, SAS, Hadoop (Hive, Pig), or similar systems
  • Experience developing Tableau dashboards (or similar platforms [Power BI, Domo, etc.])
  • Experience using enterprise CX platforms such as Qualtrics, Medallia, or InMoment, similar
  • Analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis
  • Experience with business process design/improvement, including gathering requirements, documenting workflows and developing specifications (business framework and wireframe design, technical and QA documentation)
  • Experience to interact with IT teams (internal and external partners) to foster better data/system understanding, sourcing, flow, etc
  • Systems familiarity in SAP, CRM, call management tools or similar/related systems
  • Experience with Google or Adobe Analytics is a plus
  • Experience with ServiceNow or other major CRMs is a plus
  • Data science and/or statistical modeling experience is a plus

  • Ability to communicate effectively across different levels and businesses
  • Comfortable using a variety of tools (and learning new ones) to analyze data such as BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.), Excel, SQL, Python, etc.
  • Comfortable learning new platforms and technical skills related to data
  • Education (include higher education, certifications, and whether required and/or preferred)
  • Bachelor’s computer science, statistics, math or a similar field (required)
  • Master’s degree (preferred)
Necessary Skills and Attributes:
Demonstrated ability to interact at all levels within s.com organization, as well as Finance leaders and HQ contacts. The ability to negotiate with and convince others, in a potentially adversarial environment, including s.com leadership, directors and managers with opposing views to accept/approve plans, technical and project recommendations. The ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple strategic programs and simultaneous performance objectives. The ability to write, read, interpret, explain and act based on a thorough understanding of technical documents, engineering materials and contracts or related documents. Ability to make professional sales and business presentations in writing, through email, reports, or orally, including complex business and technical matters to an audience of high technical skills, management and operational experience.
