Job description

The Engineering Production Support position is a fundamental coordination role that interfaces between the production floor and the engineering team. In this position you will work closely with Sales, Purchasing, Production and Engineering to develop a successful project completion plan. You will address and maintain documentation on all issues that include but are not limited to, parts availability, engineering design modification and production scheduling changes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with Sales, Purchasing, Production, and Engineering to develop a successful project completion plan.
Own all aspects of vehicle builds/projects start to finish
Maintain vehicle/project budget and track profitability/loss; report profitability to management for each project
Generate WO(s) (Work Order(s)), release WO(s) to production, convey expectations, track and report build hours
Close WO(s), verify component consumption, verify hours, and report variances to management
Manage vehicle/project changes as they occur and effectively communicate those changes to the affected parties.
Work with vendors to expedite external jobs and ensure quality and accuracy
Identify long lead time items, report to Purchasing, and track/expedite their delivery to meet build schedule
Compile data and present it to the team to further continuous improvement
Ensure any issues or concerns are documented and actively work to resolve
Participate in client meetings and be a part of the sales quoting process
Other duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES
Sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
Climbing in and out of vehicles
Occasionally stooping and bending
Ability to lift/push/pull up to 45 lbs.
Normal range of hearing and vision

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (required)
2 years’ experience in an automotive environment or related field (required)
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and best practices (preferred)
AutoCAD and/or Solidworks experience (preferred)
BOM creation experience (preferred)
ERP experience (preferred)
Excellent documentation/reporting skills (required)
Strong written and verbal communication skills (required)
Experience using project/task management system (preferred)
Continuous improvement and cost improvement experience (preferred)
Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $37.00 per hour
