Clearance Requirements: This position may require a security clearance in the future. Applicants must be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform duties as safety operator for various robotic vehicles both remotely and onboard during data collections, vehicle testing, and demonstrations
  • Perform assembly and test of cables using various mil spec, network, computer, and automotive connectors using electrical schematics
  • Build electrical/mechanical assemblies using assembly drawings and bill of materials (BOMs)•Install robotic kit components and associated cabling on various vehicles
  • Troubleshoot electrical circuits and hardware components to identify faults
  • Troubleshoot mechanical systems on robotic vehicles and supporting equipment
  • Work closely with engineering staff while developing, building, and testing products
  • Follow ISO procedures

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability read electrical schematics and assembly drawings
  • Ability to use basic hand tools
  • Ability to use multimeters, current probes, and oscilloscopes for electrical troubleshooting
  • Ability to operate various vehicles to include buses, Class 8 trucks, and forklifts
  • Working knowledge of ethernet and canbus networks
  • Must be able to pass the IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification
  • Motivated, accountable and able to work effectively (independently and/or within teams)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing timelines
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Flexible to work longer hours when needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification
  • Basic solder skills
  • Class A CDL driver license

Education & Experience:

  • 3+ years of electrical/mechanical technician experience
