Job description
Provide public counter assistance and support. Answer department phone line and route calls to appropriate personnel.
Perform a variety of clerical tasks including typing or data entry, proofreading, editing, and ordering of office supplies and equipment.
Respond to inquiries and requests from customers.
Process non-residential service and meter applications including the preparation of application, work order and permit, and the calculation and collection of connection fees.
Maintain Development Services records and database for preparation of periodic reports.
Prepare and maintain Development Services plan check files.
Calculate residential connection fees and prepare service agreements and bond forms.
Organize and maintain documents in Content Manager according to District retention policy.
Type correspondence and reports, sort and distribute department mail, arrange and coordinate meetings, and copy and assemble documents.
Prepare a variety of complex written materials including letters, notices, memorandums, forms and contracts.
Responsible for all other work-related duties as assigned.
Comply with District work-related safety practices and attend relevant safety training.
High school graduation or equivalent. For degrees obtained outside of the U.S., an official equivalency evaluation is required.
College level coursework desirable.
Experience:

Two years of clerical/office administration experience required. General understanding of civil engineering construction plans and legal real estate property descriptions desired.
