Oakwood is looking for a dynamic individual who will be responsible for supervision and operations, primarily for recreation activities, in our Enrichment Center (EC) for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The EC Manager - Recreation will develop and implement recreational activities for all individuals and will coordinate and ensure resident and staff training/participation in Special Olympics. Oakwood’s Enrichment Center functions to provide individualized active treatment programs for the residents who live at Oakwood. The team of EC Managers and Rehabilitation Instructors, along with the EC Director, will oversee supportive employment activities and programs within the EC to ensure safety of the individuals is maintained at all times.


Required Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or GED is required. Bachelor’s degree in Health Care or related area preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience working with persons’ with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Experience with Special Olympics, recreational programs/activities required
  • Lifeguard certified, or eligible to become certified
  • Must possess a valid driver’s licenses, reliable operating transportation and proof of current auto insurance
  • Must be able to meet criminal background, drug screening, and COVID-19 vaccine standards
