Enrollment Counselor/Campus Visit Coord (Student Services Prog Coord II), Minimum Salary: $38,758 per year, USC Aiken Office of Admissions
Under general supervision, the Campus Visit Coordinator is responsible for daily management of the prospective student campus visit program to include marketing, invitations, registration, on-site event details, and post-event evaluations. This individual is also responsible for managing events hosted by the Division of Enrollment Management and Office of Admissions, including open houses, Saturday visits, recruitment fairs, and weekday visit programs. This includes planning for, training, scheduling staff, and assessment of these visit activities. Serving in a counseling role, this individual will verbally present information sessions and meet with prospective students and families to provide guidance and positively impact the enrollment process. This individual will be required to work effectively as a member of a team and coordinates recruitment/training of admissions ambassadors and supervises student (paid and volunteer) staff members. Some night and weekend work is required.
Bachelor’s degree required. Knowledge of college admissions, enrollment, management, student recruitment, campus visit programming and volunteers a plus. Must be able to plan, implement and coordinate broad array of activities. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task required. Must be able to speak with confidence in front of large groups. Must have a proven record in relating well to a wide audience of people through a professional yet engaging personality. Must have a proven record of demonstrating professional work behaviors and ethics. Preferred qualifications include experience supervising students in a large team environment, working in volunteer management, and/or two years of experience in higher education. Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and 1 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.
