Our construction company is seeking a talented and experienced Permanent Estimator to join our team. As a Permanent Estimator, you will be responsible for estimating the cost of construction projects in various sectors such as public, commercial, transit, historic restoration, and public works. You will work closely with our project managers and engineers to ensure that our projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates
• Conduct site visits and gather information necessary for estimating
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop project timelines and budgets
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and other project expenses
• Evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals to ensure that they meet project requirements and budget constraints
• Maintain accurate records of project costs and expenses
• Participate in project meetings and provide input on cost-related issues
• Continuously improve estimating processes and procedures to increase accuracy and efficiency

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
• Experience estimating projects in the public, commercial, transit, historic restoration, and public works sectors
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret project drawings, specifications, and other documents
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred)
