Job Description
The School of Public Health at University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for the position of Executive Assistant in the Dean's Office. The major duties of the position include support the Dean of the School of Public Health through a combination of project management, high level administrative and relationship support functions; planning, coordination, management and oversight of all academic, research and teaching faculty career applications to ensure the support and successful progression of the faculty through to tenure; serve as school lead to plan, manage, coordinate, and oversee all major college events.
Required Qualifications
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and five years of progressively responsible administrative support experience which included overseeing administrative office activities, maintaining complex records, and coordinating administrative communication including written and oral information to various managers and work groups; OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant IV in Nevada State service which included administrative support duties as described above; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Schedule
The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs.
Compensation Grade
Grade 31 (Entry, Step 01 $20.76/hr - Step 03 $22.60/hr)
In classified service, salary is in Grade and Step. The Step is determined based on the Nevada Administrative Code. Salary placement above a Step 01 at initial appointment is determined based on the recruitment, the candidate’s qualifications, internal equity and budgets. A request to accelerate salary must be approved by Human Resources and abide by the Nevada Administrative Code.
