McFerrin Real Estate is actively seeking an action-oriented individual who thrives on speed and hates losing. We are currently hiring an Executive/Personal Assistant to support our founder across various initiatives. This role presents an opportunity for someone with ambitious aspirations, seeking a position that challenges them and promotes personal growth. By working alongside the founder of a rapidly expanding real estate company, you will gain valuable insight into real estate, investments, remodeling, and more.

The ideal candidate should possess a startup mindset, be results-driven, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. As the Founder’s right-hand person, you will execute essential projects, handle impromptu tasks, and provide assistance to a visionary leader who excels at launching ventures but may require support in ensuring their successful completion with remarkable outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Embrace the role of a team player and recognize that your success hinges on your ability to alleviate the workload of our Founder, allowing her to maximize her effectiveness. You should understand that your responsibilities will not have clearly defined boundaries, and you must be prepared to undertake any task that arises.
  • Possess a quick learning aptitude - while we don't have specific prerequisites, we are looking for a track record of accomplishing tasks.
  • Navigate through uncertain situations - the more you exhibit sound judgment and independence, the more intricate projects you will be entrusted with.
  • Exhibit diplomacy - you should be adept at communicating with external parties such as potential clients and business contacts.
  • Demonstrate strong writing skills - the ability to promptly draft professional communications and content aimed at leaders is crucial.
  • Pay meticulous attention to detail - to take on more significant projects, you need to demonstrate your ability to be accountable for the quality of your work.
  • Proficiency in the Google Drive Suite is required, along with the ability to quickly adapt to new or updated software.
  • Possess project management expertise - not only in using tools like Google Drive and Trello, but also in your capacity to think clearly about breaking down complex projects into manageable steps and ensuring their completion.
  • Promptly respond to requests or issues that arise throughout the day, and be attentive to emails, texts, and phone calls, even outside regular business hours.
  • Efficiently manage a complex calendar, including scheduling, meetings, video conferences, and calls.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Founder and clients, business relations, and investors.
  • Provide high-level administrative support and assistance.
  • Undertake clerical and administrative tasks, including drafting letters, agendas, invoices, reports, and other documents.
  • Willingness to assist the CEO by running errands such as getting lunch, making dinner reservations, or organizing travel, even in last-minute or stressful situations.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of office administration, clerical procedures, and record-keeping systems.
  • Exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality, and employ good judgment.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Assist in scheduling doctor appointments, family travel, and other personal events.
  • Run errands such as going to the post office, framing a poster, returning purchases, or delivering gifts to employees.
  • Take on special projects and facilitate their smooth transition to other team members.
  • Assist with data entry tasks.
  • Regularly check in with leadership to identify areas where assistance is needed or gaps exist, regardless of their size.
  • Fill in for leadership when they are unavailable.
  • Take charge of projects that are challenging to assign or that others don't have time for.
  • Conduct research on new processes, decor, and other relevant subjects.

This role is crucial to the success of our business. Should you decide to depart, we kindly request that you provide a minimum of 30 days' notice, assist in finding a suitable replacement, and help ensure a smooth transition process.

  • Your composure remains intact even amidst heightened stress or excitement, setting you apart from others.
  • You diligently check your email during weekends and make yourself available to work evenings and weekends when tight deadlines require it - you are committed to completing the job.
  • You can commit to being present in the office from 9 am to 5 pm.
  • Your intention is to remain in Boise and dedicate yourself to this position for a minimum of 2 years.
