Background

Tulsa Service Year (TSY) is an initiative of the George Kaiser Family Foundation and Coretz Family Foundation designed to enhance Tulsa's talented and successful workforce by bringing diverse, bright, and driven recent college graduates to the city. TSY fellows are mutually matched with a nonprofit partner for a year of employment, integrated into the community through immersion experiences and networking opportunities, and provided leadership and professional development with the goal of retaining them in the Tulsa area for the long term. Tulsa Service Year has experienced a high level of success and the program is rapidly expanding.

Position Summary

The Experience Manager leads the functions, processes and team supporting current Tulsa Service Year fellows and alumni to continue their engagement and connection to TSY, other GKFF programs, and the Tulsa community both during their fellowship and beyond completion of their initial 12-month fellow agreement. To be successful in this role, you must be highly innovative and collaborative, have expansive networks within the Tulsa community, and masterful facilitation and engagement skills. This role will work closely with the Director and TSY team to support fellow engagement and retention.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective systems, processes, and tools to ensure continued connection and engagement with TSY Alumni, the program, and city of Tulsa.
  • Define and maintain curated events for current fellows & Alumni that expands and fosters integration into a vibrant, growing network of Tulsa community members and partners that connect to broader talent strategies and programs in Tulsa.
  • Work closely with nonprofit partner(s) to conduct monthly feedback forums, summarize feedback and ensure reporting is shared with Director in an effective and timely manner.
  • Maintain a list of organizations in Tulsa who can provide resources that support members: non-profit involvement, volunteer opportunities, professional development, leadership training, etc.
  • Work closely with Director and TSY team to develop strategies for events that support fellow inclusion and regularly provide feedback regarding the success of events.
  • Support execution of TSY sponsored events
  • Support the growth of the preferred vendors list and resources to support event needs.
  • Consistently gather feedback from staff, fellows, and alumni for continuous improvement of the program and its goals
  • Proactively share data collected through Qualtrics, one on ones, and other meetings with the Director to support recruitment strategies.
  • Regularly report data from current fellows and alumni to leadership to understand retention rates and trends that need to be addressed within the program.
  • Develop and maintain a newsletter to be distributed to fellows, alumni, funders, and nonprofit partners (NPPs)
  • Create a database to support alumni questions related to TSY alumni engagement, developing channels as needed (i.e., employment opportunities, events, etc.)
  • Work closely with the Director and TSY team to develop and track team goals and individual metrics while providing coaching, guidance, professional development, and corrective action when applicable
  • HR related duties including conducting Interviews, onboarding, training, managing quarterly surveys, and reporting in relation to fellow and alumni team goals.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • 2-3 years of professional work experience in client management, case management, or other social services related environments
  • 2+ years of living and working in the Tulsa area, with demonstrated engagement in the community, knowledge about Tulsa history, and familiarity with a wide range of civic organizations, services, businesses, etc.
  • Proven impact and influence skills and track record of successfully engaging with senior leaders across a broad network.

Please note: Due to the necessary public health precautions put in place as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, to work in person and attend in person meetings, all team members must follow Tulsa Community Foundation and Tulsa Service Year COVID safety precautions, which currently includes being fully vaccinated. Hours and Location:

  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours occasionally.
  • Ability to travel locally and work from multiple locations within the city of Tulsa.
  • Must have a method of reliable transportation.
  • Currently, Tulsa Service Year is working a hybrid schedule of three days remote work and two days in the office.
