Job description
We are currently seeking an Experienced Diesel Technician for commercial trucks to become an integral part of our growing team! You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose, and repair all components of heavy and medium-duty commercial diesel trucks.

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment with speed and thoroughness. Including troubleshooting, electrical and diagnostic services.
- Read Repair Order, observe and listen to vehicle in operation to determine malfunction, and plan work procedures.
- Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines, and components.
- Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
- Install injectors, pistons, liners, camshafts, cylinder heads, rod and main bearings, oil pans, clutches, fan hubs, differentials, fifth wheels, brakes, change or recharge batteries, and replace transmissions and other parts.
- Lubricate moving parts and drive repaired vehicles to verify conformance to specifications.
- Maintain a neat and orderly working area, and proper handling of company tools
- Follow safe work practices and procedures, uses safety equipment when required, respond to suggestions for working safely, and seek assistance when necessary.
- Attend training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Diesel technician
- Knowledge of diagnostic and repair equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Necessary tools to perform job responsibilities.
- Related technical school training preferred.
- Engine certifications preferred: Cummins, Detroit, International, etc.
- Ability to work and learn independently.
- Strong written/ verbal communication skills required.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- CDL license preferred, but not required.
