The Forge Pizza in Oakland is now hiring experienced Line Cooks to add to our strong kitchen team.

The Forge specializes in Neo-Neapolitan style pizza made completely from scratch as well as our well established American Comfort Food favorites.

We are a high volume restaurant located on the waterfront open from noon until 9pm on weekdays and 10pm on the weekend.

Candidates will be required to have a minimum of 2 years experience in a fast-paced scratch kitchen.

Open availability and weekends are required. Sundays in particular are very important as we are a weekend heavy restaurant.

Pay is DOE and having wood-fired pizza cooking and stretching skills is a huge plus.

Responsibilities for Line Cook

*Prepare ingredients then cook and assemble dishes as indicated by recipes *Perform portion control and minimize waste to keep cost within forecasted range *Ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner by restocking ingredients at work station and meeting prep times to ensure smooth delivery *Set up and clean station according to restaurant protocol *Maintain a clean work station area, including kitchen equipment, tables, and shelves *Comply with applicable sanitary, health, and personal hygiene standards *Ensure quality and freshness of ingredients and products *Perform additional tasks as assigned by the line supervisor, sous-chef, or executive chef

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $20.00 - $24.00/hour.
