Position Responsibilities:

  • Review samples, blueprints, drawings, or instructions to understand specifications of finished product
  • Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping
  • Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
  • Select appropriate machines and position or load material for a job
  • Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain safety and identify any issues
  • Determine and program feed and speed of machines
  • Monitor output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages
  • Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Regularly exposed to hazardous situations and equipment, such as high-speed machines and sharp edges
  • Regularly exposed to loud noise from machines used
  • Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks

Required Skills & Abilities:*

  • TIG welding experience is a must, No exceptions.
  • Willingness to use and or learn the HAAS CNC 3 axis milling center and related tooling
  • Excellent Computer skills and E communication
  • Familiar with Auto desk Inventor brand software
  • And writing G Code programs or willing to learn
  • Ability to use precision tools to take accurate measurements
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
  • Knowledge of metal properties and other material
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items
  • Excellent manual dexterity, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Requires ability to walk, climb, carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at waist

  • Detail oriented and results driven
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong math skills

Education & Experience:*

  • 3+ years of experience with lathes and Bridgeport style manual mills
  • High school diploma or GED required
