You’ll handle a wide range of customer service interactions and perform a variety of administrative services support as IDA’s Services Assistant. The incumbent supports customers by providing timely, relevant information, resolving questions, responding to complaints and exceeding expectations to engage with customers whilst performing duties in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner. Duties include moving office furniture, assisting with minor facilities repairs and property inventory, servicing conference rooms and events, running errands, minor purchases, and courtesy transport.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Sets up and makes office moves which may involve assembling and arranging furniture, whiteboards, and building portable partitions, etc.
  • Uses the electronic conference scheduling system to obtain schedules and room set-up requirements. Prepares conference facilities for meetings to include room set-up and delivery of coffee and/or luncheons. Sets up audio-visual equipment as required.
  • Provides routine customer service-related activities, as appropriate, such as courtesy transport, errand runs and purchasing books and various supplies and equipment. Maintains log of vehicle usage and messenger runs.
  • Acts as courier for classified items. Sorts, delivers and picks up incoming and outgoing U.S. and inter-company mail, books and periodicals to/from stations on scheduled routes.
  • Reviews assigned Help Desk tickets, formulates and implements plan to address issues, follows up with ticket originator to ensure concerns have been addressed, and closes ticket.
  • May perform routine or minor maintenance e.g., minor repairs to carpets, furniture and fixtures.
  • Escorts uncleared personnel and contractors as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be proficient in using industry standard computer equipment and software specific to duties to include Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to follow directions and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and the ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances.
