The Verandah Club, a private Golf and Country Club in beautiful Ft. Myers, FL., is currently seeking a Facility and Building Maintenance Technician to join our team!

Competitive pay $20-22 per hour

Job purpose

Provide residents, guests and employees with facilities and a community which is in a working and maintained order, including the interior and exterior of the buildings.

Duties and responsibilities

• Performs repairs and maintenance and ensures cleanliness of all facilities and community
• Manages contracts and contracted services that pertain to the maintenance of the facilities and community
• Oversees operation of mechanical and power equipment utilized in the maintenance of the facilities
• Monitors restrooms, offices and storage rooms and perform maintenance procedures as required to ensure safe and sanitary conditions
• Completes reports as required
• Ensures compliance with all Health Department regulations
• Responds to emergency after-hours problems and alarms
• Completes daily, bi-weekly, weekly and monthly maintenance task lists
• General repair tasks to including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, painting, woodworking, etc.
• Monitors and maintains equipment and supplies needed to service
• Protect the assets of the association
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Two years of facility maintenance experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
