Program Description
Full Circle Family Program (FCFP) offers outpatient mental-health services for multicultural, low-income children between ages 0-21 and their families throughout San Francisco. FCFP utilizes evidence-based practices to help youth succeed within the context of their families. We believe that, regardless of the setting in which youth may be exhibiting challenges, each family has the strengths necessary to develop and achieve goals for their children and themselves. Thus, our philosophy is to honor families and to offer effective support so families can achieve their goals. We serve families and client in the location that best meets their needs, including their schools, homes, or one of our community-based locations throughout San Francisco.
Job Description
Family Clinicians will provide individual and family therapy, case management, and collateral services to in schools, in clients’ homes, and in community-based settings in person and virtually as needed. Services will be guided by a thorough process of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Family and client strengths are central to the healing process, and services will always strive to honor families’ culture and values. Family Clinicians will be responsible for maintaining accurate and complete client records and adhere to legal and ethical standards regarding confidentiality and reporting requirements. Group supervision, clinical training, and BBS hours toward licensure are provided for all staff. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Program Specific Responsibilities
- Individual and family therapy for youth ages 4-21
- Utilize evidence-based interventions and theories
- Treatment provided is consistent with a thorough assessment and treatment plan developed in partnership with the family
- Provide case management, behavioral coaching, and crisis intervention as needed
- Collaborate closely with our community referral sources and partners: schools, county departments, community-based organizations, etc.
- Meet productivity targets on a consistent monthly basis
- Timely documentation (progress notes, assessments, and treatment plan of care)
- Meet documentation and other deadlines; comply with requirements for Medical/county documentation standards
- Perform administrative tasks within timeframes (chart completion, meeting attendance, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters or doctoral degree in psychology, social work, or marriage and family therapy required.
- Minimum 3 years of mental health experiences
- Registration with the BBS or Board of Psychology required
- Bilingual: Spanish preferred (Native)
- Experience providing therapy to children and families in community-based settings strongly preferred
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health preferred
- Strong individual and family assessment skills and proficiency using DSM-5 and ICD-10 desirable
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word processing; ability to utilize Felton Information Management System
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with MediCal and/or Avatar documentation is desirable
- Ability be a team player with a welcoming attitude
- Possess a valid CA Driver’s license and access to a vehicle with proper insurance
