Seasonal Farm Worker 2023

Looking for a worker to assist in with normal farm operations. This includes routine maintenance, planting, tillage, haying, silage chopping, and taking care of irrigation systems. Workers should have experience in but not limited to: irrigation systems, heavy equipment operation, farm equipment operation, heavy truck operation (CDL). This requires basic knowledge of computer systems. This is an hourly position to in Mid April and End in November. It will require the worker to be available days, evenings, and weekends depending on what needs to be don& Requires bending over stooping, lifting heavy objects and standing up for long periods of time.

Requirements:

2 years' experience agriculture work.

2 years' experience operating construction and/or farm equipment.

Ability to perform routine maintenance on trucks, tractors, implements, and other equipment.

Resume and three references.

Must be willing to work a versatile schedule, primarily during, but not limited to, normal business hours.

This position requires someone that is not afraid to get dirty, that is willing to work when needed, and that is not hard on equipment.

We also require a team player who has excellent people skills and understands how to deal with Managers, Researchers and professors with different ideas and personalities.

Preferences:

Class A CDL with driving experience

GPS Auto Guidance Experience

Self-motivated

Hard Worker

Pay: Position will start at $14.00 an hour. Plus, a $2500.00 scholarship to be used the following fall or spring at USU. It will pay $1250.00 a semester. Must work from April thru October to qualify. Raises will depend on performance from there.
