Position summary

The Financial Analyst will join our Financial Planning and Analysis department based in our corporate office in Hickory, NC. This position applies technical, analytical and problem-solving skills to provide relevant, accurate and timely information for a portfolio of communities and investments. The Financial Analyst is a core component in the annual budgeting process and creates and maintains templates and reports for the executive team. Prepares facility level reports for executive leaders used in the monthly financial reviews. Facilitates the training with administrators on the use of the budget software tool and works with facilities to solve problems encountered in the use of the budget software tool. Assists budget administrators and corporate executive management teams with understanding how to best utilize the information. Demonstrates competencies in decision support including analyzing, producing, compiling, and presenting information to support executive decision making.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create and analyze facility valuations, capital stacks, sources and uses documents.
• Create and analyze income statements, and other financial and operational reports to provide decision support to operations and development teams.
• Review profit and loss statements on a monthly basis with key leaders.
• Assist with annual operating budgets, forecasts, statistical reports, and cash flow projections.
• Analyze financial information to determine present and future financial performance. Prepare return on investment analyzes for various capital projects. Ensure integrity, accuracy, and reasonableness of financial results.
• Identify trends and recommend improvements accordingly.
