The creation of the HHC SystemSupport Office recognizes the work of a large and growing group of employeeswhose responsibilities are continually evolving so that we and our departmentsnow work on behalf of the system as a whole, rather than a single memberorganization.
With the creation of our new umbrella organization we now have our own identitywith a unique payroll, benefits, performance management system, servicerecognition programs and other common practices across the system.
Interviews patients and familieswith regard to their ability to obtain payment for the hospital bill and helpsto obtain coverage once they are discharged. Assists families in applying anddealing with third party payor agencies regarding financial assistance. Reportsto the Supervisor of Patient Access.
Qualifications
- High School diploma required
- One year experience in hospital or insurance billing preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Bilingual preferred.
