The employee in this position performs duties related to the management of bi-weekly payroll certifications, inputs data through the use of a personal computer, and assists with the coding and processing of accounts payable invoices.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and present valid proof of vaccinated status, in order to be eligible for hire with the County of Northampton. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), people are considered fully vaccinated two (2) weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series (such as Pfizer or Moderna vaccines), or two (2) weeks after a single-dose vaccine (such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine). The County of Northampton will follow the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines with regard to booster(s) and when individuals are considered fully vaccinated.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work; OR
- An associate degree in accounting or business administration including or supplemented by 6 credits in accounting; OR
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Berks, Bucks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe or Northampton counties. If no eligible candidates who live within these counties apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties will be considered.
