Brooksby Village is a beautiful 90-acre continuing care retirement community located just 20 minutes from Boston in Peabody, Massachusetts. We are hiring a Fitness Specialist to join our team. The Fitness Specialist will assess, monitor, and develop individual fitness programs for residents.

Compensation is commensurate with experience: $19-$22 per hour

How you will make an impact:

  • Performing fitness assessments.
  • Create an appropriate exercise program, unique to the clients abilities and goals for both 1-1 and group personal training.
  • Educating and evaluating members on proper exercise techniques while using gym equipment.
  • Knowledge of basic water chemistry testing and teaching aquatic classes.
  • Developing exciting group exercise classes in a safe and engaging environment.
  • Maintaining a clean fitness and aquatic area for members.
  • Building strong relationships with residents and staff, encouraging them to be physically active.

What you will need:

  • Associate’s degree in Health Education or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certifications.
  • Experience in evaluating fitness programs for seniors is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1-year related work experience.
