Job description
- Is responsible for the delivery of cost-effective training, including coordinating and conducting courses at all designated subsidiary sites, focusing on CPR/First Aid and Mandt.
- Facilitates training/learning activities for new hires and staff within required time frames.
- Works collaboratively with the subsidiary Training Manager or Coordinator to ensure subsidiary compliance with State regulations, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Chimes Corporate and any other relevant standards pertaining to training and staff development.
- Maintains current instructor certification to teach courses as designated.
- Is responsible for keeping abreast of changes in regulatory requirements and sharing information as necessary with subsidiary and corporate staff.
- Evaluates participant progress, instructional materials and program effectiveness on a regular basis.
- Uses technology for the completion of specified job duties.
- Acts as liaison with Corporate Director of Training and Staff Development and outside agencies, organizations and professionals as necessary.
- Travels to provide training at all subsidiary sites.
- Attends and participates in in-service training, staff meetings and other activities to facilitate professional development.
- Manages the learning experience consistent with the organization’s philosophy and company-wide strategy.
- Assumes other duties, responsibilities and special projects as needed.
REUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited college or university. Master’s degree in related field is preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Five years of experience in the field of training, preferably in improving human performance, coaching, designing and facilitating learning, measuring and evaluating programs for outcomes or human resource development. Certified instructor of Mandt and CPR/First Aid preferred. Ability to obtain Trainer certification for both Mandt and CPR/First Aid required. Experience delivering training in the field of IDD/human services preferred but not required.
TRAVEL REQUIRED: Up to 50% in Virginia, Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania, using personal vehicle. Must have a car and an acceptable driving record as determined by criteria established by the Agency’s insurance carrier and by Agency policy. Position is based in Baltimore, MD.
