Floor Care Specialist

Location: 250 W Dodridge St.
Pay: $15/hour weekly pay
Hours/Shift: 2nd Shift 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm. 5 days a week may include weekend hours

Summary/Objective
Under general Supervision, individual is responsible maintaining floors, hard surface and carpeted areas. Individual will provide cleaning services/floor care services and ensure contract specifications are met. Individuals will maintain areas, through buffing, top coating, scrubbing, and carpet extraction and other approved methods.

Essential Functions/Job Duties

• Perform cleaning duties to maintain contract specifications and customer requirements.
• Adhere to safety and PPE standards required for job duties.
• Possess the ability to clean office areas, empty trash cans and replace liner, vacuum carpet, clean glass windows and doors, clean water fountains.
• Clean floors using dust mops, wet mops.
• Maintain cleanliness of elevators, stairwells, public lobby areas, garage and plaza areas.
• Spot clean carpets and office furniture as needed.
• Floor care which may include, stripping, waxing, and buffing.
• Restroom care which may include scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and buffing. Detail cleaning of all restroom surfaces including changing and replacing urinal cartridges. Disinfect all surfaces including toilets and urinals, sinks and counters, sweep and wet mop floors, clean mirror, change all paper and soap products, empty all trash containers.
• Extract carpeted areas and floor mats as needed.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment, scrubbing machines, wet vacuums, carpet extractors and other related equipment.
• Secure buildings/floors and turn off lights at end of shift.
• Participate in special meetings and projects when required.
• Develops and prepares reports and correspondence as required on related duties, determines need and requests necessary equipment and supplies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills

• One-year experience in related field is preferred
• Must have ability to communicate – both verbal and written
• Must demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Must demonstrate the ability to work independently
• Must be reliable and have a positive attitude
• Must have the ability to represent agency in a professional manner

Eligibility Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must possess and maintain a valid State of Ohio Driver's License
