Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Pinnacle Hotel Management. The franchisee controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including the selection and hiring process. If you accept a position at this hotel you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International.
JOB SUMMARY
Maintain and enhance the hotel's human resources functions. Plan, implement, and evaluate employee relations, policies, programs and practices
Recruitment:
- Establishes and maintains contact with external Recruitment Sources
- Develop and Network with local organizations and peers to source candidates for current and future openings.
- Attend local job fairs.
- Post open positions in both internal and external job sites, agencies and schools
- Perform initial screening interview with qualified candidate by engaging in conversation that will give insight into candidate's experience, ability and interest in an available position.
- Consult with department managers as to current openings and status of interviewed candidates
- Assist employees in completing necessary new hire paperwork. Process hiring documentation through company portal and scan papers into employee's individual computerized records.
- Coordinate and Facilitate New Hire Orientation training and emphasize the importance of quality guest service in company culture.
- Forward Employee appraisals to respective manager to complete evaluation, review, approve with GM signature, scan results into employee file, set next appraisal date and implement increases through Payroll.
- Assist and Train managers in coach and discipline processes.
- Schedule conferences with employees / management team - listen, discuss and resolve issues and complaints, counsel employees and supervisors as needed.
- Train Managers and Staff in Safety Compliance and Procedures to include Worker's Compensation Procedures and follow up.
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resources, federal and state required training programs, investigations, maintain appropriate records, represent the hotel regarding Human Resources related hearings.
- Coordinate special training activities
- Plan and execute employee appreciation events, Holiday and Special Events.
