JOB DESCRIPTION

A brand new premier senior living community located in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Receptionist to join their team! This position will play a key role in assisting residents and visitors at our luxurious Senior Living Community with a state-of-the-art Fitness Center open to both the Residents and the general population 35+.

SUMMARY

Represents the company in a positive and professional manner while greeting visitors, answering the telephone, and directing calls. Performs a variety of clerical/administrative services to assure the efficient operation of the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (Other duties may be assigned).

  • Answers the telephone in a professional manner; directs calls to appropriate individuals, and/or takes messages.
  • E-mail, fax or photocopy information as needed.
  • Uses Microsoft Office and other software to maintains a log for recording resident requests or issues, entering maintenance requests, reviewing daily tours and activities calendars. (Outlook, Word, Excel, Touchtown, etc)
  • Maintains current resident and staff directories (Enters new resident Information form and oversees/maintains resident Information computer files including resident birthdays, emergency contact information, etc.)
  • Accepts job applications and forwards them to the appropriate department.
  • First responder to the residents’ emergency call systems and takes appropriate action, including announcing emergency codes and instructions over the public address system as required.
  • Assists residents, family members, and others with inquiries regarding resident and facility information.
  • Accepts payments for ancillary charges or services.
  • Enters new residents into the emergency response system and updates as needed. Checks the report and follows up with residents who have not activated the system.
  • Labels, assigns, and records locks for storage crates for residents and employee lockers and distribute them as requested
  • Performs housekeeping duties in common areas as assigned.
  • Receives (Marketing) inquiries from “walk-ins” and phone calls regarding information about the Cambridge Village Community. Answers basic questions as time allows and forwards information to Marketing Department.

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Exceptional customer service skills and telephone etiquette.
  • Proficient in use of personal computer to include e-mail, internet and Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

SCHEDULE OPTIONS: 7a-1p, 1p-7p (Full Time, Part Time, and weekend positions available)

  • Working in a normal office environment, employees may be required to sit, bend, stoop, use a keyboard, see, talk and hear.
  • May occasionally lift objects of 10 to 25 lbs.
