Responsibilities:
Overview: The Funds Valuation Specialist II is responsible for daily valuation and administration of collective investment funds, and works on a flex schedule. The Funds Valuation Specialist II works independently with little supervision. The position is responsible for peer reviews, and identifying problems and improvements with processes. The current work environment is a hybrid of onsite and offsite work days.

Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for fund accounting and administration of approximately 15 to 20 CIFs
  • Responsible for setting up new CIFs in the trust system and/or reviewing the set up
  • Performs fund valuation and striking/distribution of daily unit prices
  • Performs periodic reviews of fund expenses and their impact to the funds, reporting material impact to Manager for resolution
  • Performs daily reviews of income and expense accruals, making adjustments to the CIF as needed and documenting such
  • Communicates with sub-advisors and custodians with regards to trading activity and holdings of the CIFs’ portfolios
  • Maintains collective investment fund compliance and reporting tasks
  • Assists with trust accounting
Ancillary Duties:

This position is also responsible to provide assistance wherever necessary to help HBT in achieving their annual goals.

Qualifications:
Education / Training: Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in business-related field

Competencies: Working knowledge of investments – security types – equities and fixed income, income types, etc. Strong computer skills, including Word and Excel; strong interpersonal relations and communication skills; detail oriented and able to work well under pressure with tight deadlines; highly organized with excellent time management skills; access to services for some remote work days.

Experience: One to three years of fund accounting or equivalent experience Previous experience in banking, financial services, or other related fields preferred.
