We are currently seeking a dedicated, motivated and entrepreneurial-minded General Manager / Health Promotion Specialist with a passion for developing and implementing holistic well-being programs to clientele at a high profile corporate client located in San Diego, CA.

A Workplace Well-being General Manager manages and directs all operations, staffing, revenue and expense goals, and marketing aspects of the site. He or she acts as a direct liaison between Workplace Well-being and the Client’s supervising department. [Assumes the key responsibility/assist the Client Coordinator] in the marketing, promotion, planning, and staffing all programs. Although the General Manager will spend less time on the site floor than the rest of the staff, he or she will maintain a high profile with both staff and members.

Job Overview:

  • Assesses population health needs using audit tools, feedback from employees, and the client to develop and deploy appropriate well-being solutions and programming.
  • Coordinates, develops, and delivers a range of health interventions to educate members on well-being, including an annual calendar of health improvement activities.
  • Partners with the client, vendors, and community resources to execute on a workplace well-being strategy that will result in improving the health and resiliency of the employee population.
  • Coordinates health and well-being marketing and communications relating to the workplace’s physical and virtual spaces to promote healthy behaviors and health care engagement.
  • Reports on engagement, referrals, workplace well-being initiatives, and results to demonstrate improvement in baseline metrics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., health promotion, health education, public health or related health emphasis) with two to three years of management experience.
  • Three or more years of experience in corporate health promotion/health management, or a related field.
  • Excellent multi-tasking, time management, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong technical and regulatory knowledge.
  • Effective and engaging public speaking skills with the ability to communicate professionally and appropriately with clients and participants.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to multi-task, execute time management and problem-solving skills, organization and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to hire, coach, train and develop staff.
  • A thorough knowledge of financial reporting such as budgeting, forecasting, and strategic business planning.

Valued but not required knowledge and experience:

  • Master’s degree in a Health Promotion Management, Public Health or related field.
  • Related Health Promotion or Public Health certification such as: National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC) certification, WellCert Certified Wellness Practitioner, CHES (Certified Health Education Specialist) Five years of industry experience
