Starting Base Wage: $16.25hr.
Base rate starts at $16.25 hr, plus any differentials.

The General Warehouse – Box Builder/Recycler position provides new and recycled boxes and helps ensure we maintain a safe and clean environment for employees and customers.

Basic Schedule Options Include:
Monday-Friday; Shift 12:30pm - 9:00pm (FT); + $1.00 Shift Differential
2:00pm - 9:00pm (FT); + $1.00 Shift Differential

MORE ABOUT THE POSITION

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Recycle qualified restock boxes.
• Cross out old bar codes and information, re-tape bottoms and place new LPNs on boxes.
• Build new shipping boxes and place LPNs.
• Sweeping and general clean-up of work areas.
• Effectively communicate with the Supervisor’s and Management regarding any needs or concerns in a timely fashion.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Transfer empty totes

REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:

• Promotes a positive, professional image. Has the ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must be dependable and has the ability to work alone.
• Must be self-disciplined to stay on tasks.
• Must be able to organize and prioritize daily work.
• Must comply with all internal Personal Protective Equipment requirements.
• Must be detail oriented with the ability to recognize areas that need immediate attention and respond promptly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Education preferred but not required.
• Comprehend oral and written instructions.
• Should be able to read, write, and have sufficient ability to identify label information and verbally communicate with staff in an appropriate manner.
• Minimum of six months experience in a related field preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to walk and stand. The employee occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, handle or feel, to pull/push cart, grasp and perform repetitive hand, wrist and arm motions. The employee is frequently required to climb, kneel/squat, bend and carry. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work environment is moderately noisy. The employee is required to work near conveyor systems and around powered lift equipment. There is exposure to dust and extreme changes in temperature throughout the year. Employee must be able to handle stress that is involved in all areas of the building. Be flexible and able to interact with employees at all levels
