The Graphic Designer is a new role in the practice. Milliman New York Atlanta health care consulting practice is looking to add an experienced graphic designer to our team.
Graphic designers play an integral role in the development of marketing materials and work products for our pharmaceutical clients. You will be a member of a consulting team that adds visualization and creativity to analytical concepts. In this role, you’ll have regular interaction with Milliman consultants and associates as well as clients.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
On a typical project, your role would include:
- Learning about the client’s business objective and how analyses, information, and other work developed by the project team address the client’s need
- Designing creative concepts for print and digital marketing materials as well as developing and refining materials
- Creating visually appealing client presentations including data visualization
- Collaborating with team members and clients from project concept to completion
- Owning the quality of your work, ensuring all projects are proofed and error-free
On a daily basis, you should expect to be:
- Working in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Discussing concepts with a project or brand team to understand the business purpose and copy
- Proposing and creating original visual content for print and digital marketing material
- Refining marketing material in the review and finalization stages
- Participating in client meetings and executing on next steps
- Carrying out other duties, tasks, and projects as assigned in collaboration with team members
Necessary Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in visual communication, illustration or graphic design
- Demonstrated understanding of basic elements of graphic design, including page layouts, typography, color and size accuracies, formatting and die lines
- Highly proficient working in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Employ a collaborate approach with the ability to take direction and collaborate with various team members
- Proven experience in project management with the ability to keep projects moving on schedule, prompting others for feedback when necessary and meeting deadlines
- Ability to work independently and desire to work in a pragmatic, fast-paced environment

The Department / Team
Milliman’s New York - Atlanta Health Practice provides consulting services to a broad array of clients in the healthcare industry, including payers, providers, and life sciences organizations. We are seeking a self-starting creative Graphic Designer with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience to support various consulting projects. This opportunity is based in our New York City or Atlanta office.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in visual communication, illustration or graphic design.
- Demonstrated understanding of basic elements of graphic design, including page layouts, typography, color and size accuracies, formatting and die lines.
- Highly proficient working in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Proven experience in project management with the ability to keep projects moving on schedule, prompting others for feedback when necessary and meeting deadlines.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelors or better in Communications.
- Bachelors or better in Graphic Arts or related field.

Location
This position will be based out of the Milliman offices in Atlanta or New York City. Applicants must be willing to work onsite in the Milliman office unless restricted by COVID-19.
Compensation
The salary range is $65,000 to $90,000, depending on relevant factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc.
Additional Information
- To be considered, a portfolio of relevant design work will be required with your application.
- This is a temporary position, with the potential to convert to a permanent position.
