Ground Maintenance Worker

We are hiring ground maintenance worker immediately!

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Perform mowing, trimming, edging, weed and brush control; cut grass using walking-type or riding mowers.
• Trim hedges and edges around walkways, flowerbeds, and wells using hedge trimmers, clippers, and edging tools.
• Prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth using shears and other hand tools.
• Spray lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer or insecticide.
• Pick up and load large wheel barrel to remove all rubbish, debris, and trash, then load truck to dispose of properly.
• Pressure wash sidewalks, curbs, and pathways.
• Operate a tractor and/or mower, weed eaters, chain saws, pressure washer, and brush cutters.
• Wash and perform basic maintenance of grounds equipment.
• Remove snow from walkways, driveways, roads, or parking lots, using shovel and snow blower; spread salt on walkways and other areas.
• Work in the off-season may include janitorial work and floor crew tasks.

Available shifts: Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day)

Job requirements:

• Landscaping: 1 year (Preferred)
• Clean NYS Driver's License 4 pts or less (Required) Motor Vehicle Records

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Rochester, NY 14623: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Maintenance: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
