UP TO 32 HOURS PER WEEK

Performs various routine duties involving the maintenance of the Town of Stratham’s Municipal cemeteries, parks and or roadsides. May operate equipment and trucks as assigned and licensed. Works under the supervision of the Public Works Director or designee. Laborer may work unattended as needed or instructed by supervisor. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Performs maintenance work such as mowing, trimming, weeding, irrigating, raking, fertilizing, shoveling, pruning, planting and mulching but not limited too. May be required to perform custodial duties within municipal facilities as needed. Follow and enforce department rules and regulations. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT USED:

Mowers, trimmers, hand tools, shovels, back pack blowers, hand and shop power tools, custodial tools and equipment, specialized turf maintenance equipment, field maintenance equipment, telephone and or 2-way radio.

LICENSE:

A valid NH Operators motor vehicle license is required for all applicants 18 years of age and older.

Passing of a driver history and criminal background check is required for this job for those applicants 18 years of age and older.

CPR and First Aid Certification is recommended but not required at the time of hire.

HOURS: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, or as scheduled, up to 32 hours per week.

STARTING PAY RANGE: $12.00 - $15.79 hourly DOQ
