TEAM, Inc., a non-profit social service agency serving in 12 communities including the Valley (Ansonia, Derby, Oxford, Seymour & Shelton), Milford, Waterbury and Naugatuck has the following full-time opportunity in its quality Early Education program located in Waterbury:

Duties

Seeking an experienced professional to oversee the administration of the health, nutrition and safety components of Early Education program to ensure that Head Start, Early Head Start, School Readiness, state licensing, and NAEYC standards are met. Primary responsibilities include: 1) ensuring that state licensing regulations are implemented and maintained, 2) supervising kitchen staff including hiring, training, and evaluating, 3) tracking staff, volunteer and consultant physicals and trainings, 4) tracking of child physicals/immunizations and ensuring completion of required 45-day developmental screenings, 5) preparing daily menus in compliance with USDA requirements. Completing meal monitoring and reporting requirements for CACFP, 6) assisting in the development and implementation of component plans in compliance with federal performance standards, 7) ensure regular maintenance and upkeep of Early Childhood facilities, and 8) oversee Health Service Advisory committee.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor?s degree in Early Childhood Education, Public Health or related field and 3+ years relevant experience. Supervisory experience preferred. Successful candidate must possess the following: 1) strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, 2) knowledge of state licensing standards, 4) knowledge of Head Start performance standards, and 6) solid computer skills. Bilingual a plus.
