HEALTH INFORMATION SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

POSITION SUMMARY: This position actively participates in the daily support of Health Information applications. In coordination with management, provides technical support and helpdesk functions to ensure efficient ongoing operation and use of the Health Information Applications.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate’s degree in Computer Systems Analysis, Information Management, Computer Programming, Systems Analysis, Business Administration (with emphasis on Information Systems), or related field and two years related experience and/or training in database management, help desk assistance, or a computer support role; OR high school diploma / equivalent and four years related experience and/or training in database management, help desk assistance, or a computer support role.
- Experience supporting Patient Care Applications using Help Desk tools.
- Proficiency using computers and desktop software systems.
- Knowledge of or experience with financial management, accounting principles, medical reimbursement, database and query tools (SQL) preferred.
