The Health Information Systems Administrator supports the efforts of the Company to develop streamlined processes related to the use of technology pertaining to electronic medical records, policy and procedure, contracting, and incident management. This position also supports efforts to improve the organization and its patients’ outcomes by providing ongoing support to Oceans Hospitals and the Support Center Outcomes Department.


Essential Functions:

  • Primary responsibility is to serve as system support for the Organization’s Health Information (Wellsky/HCS) and Compliance/Document Management(C360) systems.
  • Serves as the liaison between the C360 software vendor and the Company ensuring that the system is configured for efficiency and meets the needs of the organization.
  • Supports the Wellsky/HCS system administrator in tasks including but not limited to new users, quality assessment, training guides, etc.
  • Works collaboratively with the IT department to ensure that the systems are accessible to all stakeholders.
  • Provides education to the organization related to the use of C360 software system.
  • Provides reporting for users of the C360 on demand and creates custom reports as needed.
  • Serves as the policy committee coordinator for the organization and is a resource for the organization as it relates to Company policies and processes.
  • Maintains compliance with all Company policies and procedures. Strict adherence to Company Code of Conduct
  • Attends all mandatory education programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety and regulatory compliance
  • Completes other assigned duties under the direction of the EVP of Process Improvement and Outcomes.

Requirements

Educational / Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience as a software solution system administrator preferred

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Demonstrates strong computer skills to navigate MS office products and electronic software solutions
  • Must have excellent assertive communication skills is able to perform in an environment requiring a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates personal traits of a high level of integrity, team orientation, professionalism, and trustworthiness.
  • Must successfully complete CPR certification and an Oceans approved behavioral health de-escalation program

Work Environment:

Subject to many interruptions. Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. This position can be high paced and stressful; must be able to cope mentally and physically to atmosphere. This person might sometimes experience disagreeable odors, sights and/or unpredictable patient behavior. Work requires spending approximately 90% or more of the time inside a building that offers protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
