Job Summary:

Take advantage of this rewarding position that allows you the flexibility to help when your schedule allows! This position will assist with accurate assembly of medical records and analysis of deficiencies for MD completion.
This on-call position does not have regularly scheduled hours, but will be called on when workloads increase or when regularly scheduled employees take time off.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work the work queue’s for Inpatient and Outpatient charts requiring analysis for deficiencies
• Scan’s all patient paper reports accurately into the electronic system via onbase or Excellian.
• Accurately files the scanned papers from the scanning queues to the appropriate patient record.
• Work the InBasket messages for HIM. Mailing letters and handling requests.
• Verifies the completeness of the paperwork that comes to Health Information for processing.
• Maintains data integrity when processing for chart deficiency, scanning, filing etc.
• Monitor and manage incomplete and delinquent records for Providers.
• Fax accurately through RightFax.
• Provides release of information as needed when copy service not available.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education, Training or Degree Required:

License/Registration/Certification Required: (will be primary source verified by HR)

Experience and Skills: (indicate preferred or required)

• Knowledge of clerical and office procedures
• Ability to use computer programs effectively
• Excellent customer service skills
• Previous health care experience preferred
• Ability to work in fast paced environment
